Interview:
Jeff Fenech, Boxing Trainer & Legend - 8th January
2004
Jeff
Fenech held a press conference at the Powerhouse Museum,
as part of 'Sport - more than heroes and legends'.
The
memorable interview conducted by Peter FitzSimons,
was held just days after Fenech having been attacked
by thugs outside his restaurant at Brighton Le Sands.
Jeff
was in good spirits, and there was a positive vibe,
helped along by Jeff's upbeat and honest attitude
and Peter's excellent interview, which also included
questions fielded from the press (and boxing "hard
cores") that were present.
Fenech
fans will be glad to hear that Jeff has released a
new DVD, in conjunction with Sky Channel and Graham
McNeice Productions. After the official press conference,
Fenech was on hand to sign autographs and take part
in photo opportunities with the press and his many
supporters.

Sport:
more than heroes and legends is a celebration of the
great sporting history of Australia. Theres
something for everyone, whether youre an athlete,
a fan, a coach, a history buff, an administrator or
a sideline mum. Over 500 items are on display, with
the most significant being loaned from the MCGs
Australian Gallery of Sport and Olympic Museum. Objects
also come from the New South Wales Hall of Champions,
private and corporate collections and the Powerhouse
Museums stores, featuring treasured objects
from the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
The
collection of work took over 4 years to collate and
compile in order for the Australian public to be able
to enjoy these treasures all in one place.
